These crispy, oven roasted Brussel Sprouts have become a staple both with clients and at home.
Like many people, my love of Brussel Sprouts is new. Growing up, I thought Brussel sprouts were this funky little vegetable that no one wanted to eat. That was until I popped them in the oven, roasted them and added bacon! Bacon makes everything better, right? Now, they’re a staple with clients and family. Well, everyone except my four-year-old. We’re still trying to get him on board!
The recipe is super simple, and you can serve these with anything – fish, chicken or beef. You can only make asparagus and green beans so much. Take a break from the norm and try out this recipe.
Tips
Ingredients 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed 4 slices bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil ½ teaspoon garlic powder ½ teaspoon sea salt black pepper pinch of sugar Directions Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Mix Brussels sprouts, bacon, olive oil, garlic powder, salt and together in a large bowl. Spread evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Roast until bacon is crispy for 40 minutes, stirring after 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and serve.
